How do you edit items that occur automatically, e.g., categories of expenses, or names of places that might have errors in them of one kind or another? Quicken for Mac 2017

    Options
    If you want to change the name of a Payee, Category, Tag or Security, you should open the corresponding window from the Window menu in the top menu bar. Find and double click on the entry and you can change the name.
