Viability of Quicken website login should not hinge on URL query string

SO, I discovered something annoying. I had bookmarked https://signin.quicken.com/signin for later use; unfortunately, any attempt to login with this URL fails.
As has come up before, attempts to login are met with the dreaded error message: "Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again, and if it still doesn't work, let us know."
I have determined the surface reason. This query string is needed: ?client_id=quicken_myaccount&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fmyaccount.quicken.com%2Flogin&response_type=code
That is, "client_id", "redirect_uri", and "response_type" must all be defined just to log into the website. Why??
Dear reader, feel free to bookmark this link: https://signin.quicken.com/signin?client_id=quicken_myaccount&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fmyaccount.quicken.com%2Flogin&response_type=code

Just a quick addendum, the above URL stuff is for quicken account management.
For Quicken Web, it's the same issue. You wanna bookmark https://app.quicken.com/login. Loading that actually will then redirect you to https://signin.quicken.com/signin with different query string values.Just your friendly neighborhood student of Quicken.0
