Changing a RRSP account to a RRIF account

How do I go about changing my RRSP account to a RRIF account now that it has been converted.

    Hi @limey66ca,

    Here's a two-pager that was developed by a well known bank and provides some good info on the conversion LINK.  I believe you could talk to the institution that holds your RRSP, or find another institution, as they appear to be many qualified institutions.

    You can create a new RRIF account and transfer your money from your RRSP with the same operations your bank did. But for me, I simply changed my account name and number. That's it. I found it more easy that way.
