Direct Connect for SouthState Bank no longer works. Did something change?

It keeps showing "It's not your fault" and "unknown error"

    Both of these seem to only use EWC as the downloading method.  Maybe a recent change?

    www.southstatebank.com is the one that I use. However, it doesn't seem to function.

    From Quicken that is. I can still login to the website and manually download.

    @DavidM2357 The information that @Tom Young posted is a bit hard to read, so I will interpret it for you.

    BANKING,CREDIT,ACCOUNTINFO&EXP-WEB-CONNECT

    Banking, and credit cards supported.  Account information supported,  Connect type supported Express Web Connect.

    You will notice that Direct Connect isn't in there.  So, it looks like your financial institution has dropped Direct Connect (probably because of the cost) in favor of only supporting Express Web Connect.

    You will need to deactivate all your accounts with them and reactivate them to get Express Web Connect.

    This error is a South State problem. Per their Tech: The new software (See Dec. 2021) is randomly disconnecting some accounts. This cannot be resolved online only by calling tech support for online banking. You may have to "reactivate" the account after the reset is done on their end.

    Contact SouthState Bank at 800-277-2175 option 2. The problem was a software update that affected some customers like me. They will correct the problem in about 1 minute.
