"Synching Quicken Cloud" Message

Due to a massive issue with Quicken Express Connect I opened up a backup copy of my file.

Immediately without warning or way to cancel there was a message "Synching Quicken Cloud"

How do I undo this?

    And yes I verified even with this file open Sync is "OFF" according to the settings screen.

    Hello @BOB139,

    Thank you for reaching out to the Community and telling us about your issue, though I apologize that you are experiencing this.

    If you haven't already, I suggest you try signing out of your data file completely and then signing back in to refresh the registration token for your Online Connected Services. However, I do recommend that you first save a backup file prior to performing these steps.
    1. Navigate to Edit
    2. Preferences...
    3. Quicken ID & Cloud accounts
    4. Click Sign in as a different user (or it might say Sign in using a different Quicken ID)
    5. Follow the prompts to Sign Out
    6. Sign back in using your Quicken ID (email) and password

    Let us know how it goes!

    When I go to https://app.quicken.com/ it shows me "Bob's Quicken Data" twice. When I go into those it says It looks like you have not synced your accounts yet.

    How do I delete these?

    Before I can further assist you, I require some more information. What are you attempting to delete and from where are you trying to delete it? Could you please post a screenshot of the message that you are receiving?

    Yes I know how to post a screenshot. It is a hassle because you have not read what I have posted which clearly explains the issue

    On the "Quicken On the Web" which is located at https://app.quicken.com/ some data has synced.

    I do not want to sync anything to Quicken on the web.

    Specifically when I click Profile in the lower left corner it shows

    Finances
    >>> Bob's Quicken Data
    and again it shows a 2nd copy
    >>> Bob's Quicken Data

    "Bob's Quicken Data" is the file name of the quicken file in my PC. This filename was synched to Quicken cloud. As I said in my original post Quicken desktop software presented a "Synching Quicken Cloud" despite Sync is "OFF" according to the settings screen.

    So can you please tell me how to delete all synced data on Quicken On the Web?

    The procedure is to create another data file with sync to Mobile/Web on.  From that data file select Edit -> Preferences -> Quicken ID & Cloud Accounts -> Cloud accounts associated with this Quicken ID -> select the Cloud Account Name of the first data file and select Delete.

    Yes, that is the tradeoff.  You can't delete the cloud dataset that is connected to the existing data file, but at least the new one is next to empty.
