Add Cost Basis to Market Value Chart in Investing Portfolio view

This would improve visualizing investments over the long term. In the [Investing] section; [Portfolio] view: Currently, the chart shows Market Value - only the Market Value. Suggest adding the Cost Basis in the forefront, using a different color line (maybe red). The difference would show growth (or loss) over the chosen time span. The user could see growth (or loss) immediately. It would be helpful on accounts with periodic deposits like 401(k)s. The user could deduce if Market Value changed because of recent deposits or market conditions.

Yes. The dashboard has three different views. The portfolio view shows the chart.0

Blogging? This site has nothing to do with blogging. You created a feature Idea post, that's all.
Personally, I don't think this should be as high a priority as dozens of other needed investment features, since the cost basis can easily be shown in the table under the graph — but I understand the appeal of adding a second line to the chart to show cost basis.Quicken Mac Subscription • Quicken user since 19930 -

@ Quicken Anja -- Thank you for moving the string. I should have been told it was moved. Please delete this new product submittal if you can. I thought I was doing Quicken a favor by submitting a valid idea to Quicken, not the general public. I'm not interested in getting notices or chasing popularity contests to improve YOUR product. Only thing this experience verified is the chasm that remains between Windows and Mac. I started using Quicken for Windows in 1992 and continued on various platforms. The vast difference started from the beginning when Mac was released. It continues to this day. Again, please delete this string if possible. I'm not going to monitor it going forward. Thanks in advance.-1

There are more than 500 feature ides for Quicken Mac posted on this site, so they can't get to them all. But if you compare Quicken Mac today to Quicken Mac when the modern version debuted nearly 8 years ago, a huge number of improvements have been made and feature have been added.
while Quicken Mac is still chasing many features in Quicken Windows, the gap does narrow with each passing year.Quicken Mac Subscription • Quicken user since 19931
