Option to pay electronically
When you reconcile a credit card account, it gives you options to print a check or manually write a check to pay the balance. Neither of these are commonly used today. Today the most common method of payment is electronic. However, this is not an option offered. Quicken is way behind the times in this respect. Quicken should get into the 21st century and offer an electronic pay option beside the less commonly used check options.

Q already offers this. You just need to set it up at your bank, not within Q.

This has been available for many years. Something must be set up wrong for you not to see it.Quicken user since version 2 for DOS, now using QWin Premier Subscription (US) on Win10 Pro.0

@Wsamuel3 It looks like you're using our Quicken Deluxe product, meaning that you would need to add Bill Pay to your program for a fee of $9.95 per month. You can also upgrade to Premier for free Bill Pay.
Here's more information: https://www.quicken.com/billmanager - you should be able to add Bill Pay to your product, or upgrade to Premier from inside of Quicken.
Hope this helps--Quicken Kathryn

@Quicken Kathryn isn't this available in Deluxe for free if the bank offers Direct Connect with Bank Bill Pay? (The bank could charge for it, but in this case I believe Quicken does not.)

@Rocket J Squirrel Yes--if the bank offers Direct Connect Bill Pay, then it can be set up this way; Quicken doesn't charge, but there may be bank fees.Quicken Kathryn

It is ridiculous to charge $9.95 a month for a simple feature when most people now pay electronically. It should be a built-in option, not an extra.0

@wsamuel3 there are several "free" options available to you to make payments to your CC electronically (if you don't want to use or pay for Quicken's Billpay):
- If your bank offers Bill Pay, then all you need to do is set that feature up in your online account with them. You then can make and/or schedule electronic payments whenever you like.
- Most CCs offer a way to make electronic payments to them directly in your online account with them.
- You can also set up automatic payments with your CC where they will take the payment automatically based on criteria you choose.
- If your CC and bank account are with the same financial Institution, they might offer a feature where you can make CC payments, via your online account with the bank, manually and/or scheduled.
