Windows Canada R40.xx Release is DEFECTIVE

I installed the latest update, logged in and now all the stock quotes and data does not update. just shows the timer icon beside the stock ticker. Currencies, nothing is updated. Completely dead. Do you beta test these and is there a way to remove the update?
