    Hi @Shilo,

You can do this on Quicken for Mac. Please navigate to Accounts > New > Loans > Mortgage. This will take you to the financial institution list. Simply click Continue, instead of selecting a financial institution. On the next screen, the option to Enter transactions manually will be pre-selected. Go ahead and click Continue again.

You will then be prompted to enter the account's Opening Balance. Once you enter this information, click Finish and then click Add Loan Terms (at the bottom of the screen) and you will then be able to enter the necessary loan details. I hope this helps!

I know I was able to do that with the original version of Quicken when I first bought it, but that no longer seems to be possible now with the latest version. When I go to Accounts, New, Mortgage, I am prompted to upgrade to the a new version which I suspect is the Deluxe version for $61/year.
Unless there is workaround to create a Mortgage account.

@Shilo It sounds like you are using Quicken Starter? You didn't mention that above. Loan accounts are not available in Quicken Starter; you would need Quicken Deluxe to create and update a loan account. You can see this on the Quicken.com web page comparing the different versions of Quicken:
