need help editing an existing loan payment as it's wrong

in Errors and Troubleshooting (Windows)
my loan somehow looked like it was paid off and shouldn't have been and it look the beginning loan balance out I had to readd this to it and now the payment on 5/2/22 is missing in the registar and don't know how to edit it as I set it up with reminders.

    Wouldn't that 5/2 payment be in your check register?  Why can't you find it there?

    I can but I can't figure out how to edit the split payment as it messes up the loan registar then.
