Quicken keeps updating/connecting by itself

Quicken goes out and performs regular updates even though all scheduled updates are turned off.

    Are the accounts setup for Express Web Connect?

    By its nature, the server goes to the financial institution and updates the transactions periodically.

    P.S.  If you are just talking about Quicken connecting to the Quicken server.  Quicken also periodically checks for changes in the financial institution list, new version updates, a valid subscription, and other things.  The only way to stop that would be to block Quicken from accessing the Internet.

    Every 15 minutes sounds like its getting quotes.  Check EDIT, Preference, Investment Transactions and see if the "Automatically update quotes every 15 minutes" option is checked.

    Yes, One Step Update has been around for years, but there are several kinds of "Update".

    Also, the only "Update" that happens every 15 minutes isn't One Step Update.
