Automatically add tags to new transactions when updating an account


I understand that there currently is no way in Quicken Windows to automatically enter tags for new transactions upon updating an account. This would be useful, for example, when a husband and wife have separate credit card accounts, and the tags serve to denote ownership and are used to generate separate reports by tag. All transactions in each account will always have the same tags. Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Are there transactions in other accounts that are sometimes his and sometimes hers and are tagged accordingly?

    Because if it is only the credit card accounts, you could produce one report for each account or subtotal by account.

    What is really needed for this is for this idea to be implemented:
    Memorized Transactions or Renaming Rules by Account (1 Merged Votes) — Quicken

    Currently it is quite possible to have memorized payees that will set the tag, but because both the renaming rules and the memorized payees are global there isn't any way to have to do it differently in different accounts, that is what is missing.
