Option to be prompted for password vault password less frequently

I have used Quicken since before it ran in Windows. If I could change one thing about the product, I would eliminate the need to enter my password vault password just to download transactions. It's annoying. Whatever I download is more than adequately protected by my laptop login. If one needs to make it an option protected by another password, fine, but please make it so a user can choose to download without entering the password. Obviously, one must enter the vault password to manage the vault.

Long ago there use to be more requests like this, but most people that asked have long ago given up.
Intuit and now Quicken Inc consider this a security risk and as such are most likely never going to budge on their position that it has to be entered.Signature:

My experience is that Quicken asks for the vault password the first time after you start the program and if you leave it running overnight, the first time you download each day.
Do you find it asks more often?QWin Premier subscription0 -
I agree with the original poster. Daily and on startup is too frequent. It's one reason I'm migrating off of Quicken.0
