Custom Year End Copy

Recommend adding the option to increase the period to copy all transactions from the current year's data to a selectable number of years while also keeping the investment transactions. For instance, I'd like to have all transactions in the last 10 years...I sometimes search for something (usually bought) for info on how much I paid for it or something like the acct number, person, etc. that I often put in the Transaction Memo. Additionally, I like to look at or compare 10 years worth of transactions, expenses, or income. This will keep my file size down and speed up responses.

When you get to the Year End Copy panel change the two date selections according to your needs and select the proper options
Remember that investment buy, sell, etc. transactions are not subject to removal by YEC and will remain in the current file, even if older than the specified cutoff dates. You need them in the current file for proper long-term history and cap gains/loss reporting.

Thanks UKR but notice the asterisk. I’m asking all data, including reconciled transactions be kept. I like to run reports back to 3, 5, or even 10 years…or when did I buy my refrigerator, grill… or when and who did that home repair? I think having all data for the last 10 years is reasonable.

And selecting "I only want ..." and setting your cutoff dates to 1/1/2012 and 12/31/2011 respectively wouldn't do what you want ... keep 10 years of data in your current file?

Not according to the "*Only reconciled ... will be removed" statement. I want those reconciled bank and credit card transactions to be available for reports and searches.
