I need to restore my file. (Q Mac)

My computer crashed, and I can't find the data created by Quicken. I am installing a new Quicken for Mac, but I don't want to start all over again. I can do it with the online version, but I prefer the computer. Is there any way to link the new version to my already existing online version? or the file that I need from the Online Version? I just want to use what I have been using but I don't want to input all my accounts and re-classify all again.

You cannot create a new desktop file from what is online. The online database is an adjuct to the desktop file and not a backup or substitute.

Your best bet is to find your desktop file. Do you have any backups?

The default location for the file is User > Library > Application Support > Quicken  Have you looked there? Hint: hold down the Option key while clicking the Go menu in the Finder to access your User Library.
