Penfed connection - Sorry it's not your fault

Been getting this error for months, and I see that there are many other issues with connecting to penfed. And now quicken is increasing the price of the product and yet it has a super long running problem with no eta as to a fix.

The only message I get when I try to connect my account is sorry it's not your fault.

Connection shows:

Using fiddler to capture the web traffic, I see multiple calls to
Aggregators
{ aggSta tus=REMOTE_UPDATE_IN_PROGRESS
channel=FDP_DEFAULT
isProcessing=True
}
mode=DISCOVER_AND_ADD_ACCOUNTS
status=AGGREGATION_IN_PROGRESS

With a final one reporting status=AGGREGATOR_IN_ERROR

I know my login is correct since I use it to manually download transactions.

    The connection has mysteriously started to work using web express. Slow, but works.
