Batch process to memorize payee and record check step??

One time annually I have 300-400 checks to write in a 2 week period. Input data of names and $$ amounts per individual check is available in an Excel file. I've found a program to produce the necessary import file format. However I find it very time consuming to individually memorize each payee and then record the check to be printed. Is there a batch process for these two steps? [Removed - Solicitation]
