Account Balance/Net Worth does not match Register: Win10, Quicken VersionR45.21, Build 27.1.45.21

Just ran the Account Balance report and the balance for my checking account does not match account register. They matched when I ran report earlier in the year. The Account Balance report is overstated by $171K. I went back in history to find the divergence. It appears the new issue started in 2007 with a deposit (payslip) with multiple line items. How do I resolve?

    Why can't you simply edit that 2007 transaction to correct the issue?
    And then re-reconcile the account to verify that it was the only error.

    The issue is with all deposits from that date going forward.
