How is monthly budget calculated? Seems like it is using one month for an annual budget

Given that my budget disappeared during an upgrade, I started over with a new budget for 2023. However, my very first category I went to inspect was "Vacation".
This has three major months last year, and I expected the total from 2022 to be spread over a monthly budget for 2023. Instead, what I see is one month (February 2022) is used as an annual total and that one month is spread into 2023 monthly budget amount.
This is, of course, useless. How is Quicken calculating that monthly budget and where can I say, recalculate (short of editing manually since this is my first category I inspected, I suspect many others to be similarly off base)?
I have $2,654.89 + 3,957.49 + $5,241.81 for the year. Yet Quicken's monthly budget is only $221/month (which might be the first month; Feb; divided by 12??)

I think I discovered my own answer. The budget was only using "Everything else" and none of the sub-categories under "Vacation" even though the pop-up chart shows the total for all the subcategories. I need to select ALL the subcategories even if I don't want to budget each of them individually?Quicken Premier R48.15 on Windows10 now. I started with MYM (Managing Your Money) on DOS0

[Removed - Profanity] just happened? My budgets are GONE? I didn't even have time to create a backup. My whole day's work is lost?
I restarted Quicken again, and there are no budgets.Quicken Premier R48.15 on Windows10 now. I started with MYM (Managing Your Money) on DOS0
