I've done everything I can do on this end. I see many others are having the same problem. COME ON QUICKEN - rolling to a new year should not kill the system. Retired computer consultant here - get this resolved. :s

+1 on this issue. Quicken is dog slow. It takes a full two seconds to accept a downloaded transaction. For a while I thought it was because i was running Quicken in Parallels on an M1 Mac (ARM version of Windows running x86 emulator), but that is actually faster than a straight up windows machines. M1 Mac lag on accepting a download was about 1/2 second.
What I am observing the entire quicken window re-displaying itself. It's weird but it looks like it is trying to resize itself, then thinks better of it. Been using Quicken since the early 90's and all the windows versions seemed to have interesting nuances with graphics drawing, and it had been getting progressively worse.
Perhaps before the quicken team rolls out an update with new stuff that barely anyone uses, we make the product work. It is very nice to see recurring patches coming out and commitment to the product, but production issues should always take priority (I'll be stunned if this comment makes it through, every time someone says something against strategy it gets edited out.)Quicken user since Sep 1990. With a lot of sadness, I switched to something else. Used quicken at least three times a week for 32 years; hard to let go. 35+ years in IT Infrastructure and IT Security. Current Job 31 yrs. Married 30yrs..18 -

Disabling TPM did NOT help. Quicken is just as slow and the only resolution I have found is to close Quicken, then re-open. Quicken may then run ok for a period of time, sometimes 1-2 minutes, sometimes 10 minutes.1

This morning all my Web Connect+ accounts stopped updating. When doing a One Step update; all I get is the circular blue dot and the arrow showing “updating account”. I then forced Quicken to shut down, after 5 minutes, and tried to update a single WB+ account and got a 501 error. Seems like the Quicken server is down. Anyone else having this problem?12

Yes! Only difference is I did not force closure and eventually got the 501 error. Also, I have transactions that downloaded showing January dates, but at top of screen it is still showing that my last access was Dec 29th.0

I am having the same issue, I tried it one more time to get the error code and it actually worked this time. I wonder if this issue was on Quickens server or something.0

Over the past month I have had this problem a couple of times, but cleared on its own. This morning I am getting CC-501 Error with message "Unable to update these accounts because of an error on the Quicken server." Only problem is with Express Web Connect accounts. Appears to be a Quicken server problem which only Quicken can fix.2

same problem...fails on every web connect account5

It will downlolad investment accounts but two different banks with accounts are freezing up when trying to download even after reinstalling Quicken. Help!3

I connect every morning to two direct connect banks and three web express banks. This morning, all web express banks fail to update, with error message saying CC-501. Downdetector.com reports hundreds of other people having similar problems. When will this be fixed? Or at least when will we get an update?0

UPDATE: Instead of having us jump through hoops as indicated below, why not just state what Quicken knows to be true, they are having update issues since December 2022 and have been unable to resolve them with NO ETA TO PROVIDE: https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7925832/new-12-19-22-quicken-performance-issue/p1?new=1
Every time I see this issue, that is the suggestion, and it NEVER works. I can search the forum now and find at least three or so posts where the users are having the same issues and it is always useless suggestions. It will work for a while then stop working again. Today it has been almost an hour and three accounts are completed, one is waiting, and the rest are Updating Account. USELESS SOFTWARE at this point, especially since the One Step Update is the only reason to even use this over a competitor anymore.
What else doesn't work, Validate, Super Validate, sign in with different user. Quicken has become trash software. I have no capital one accounts, in fact, I have reduced the account I track in Quicken by a significant margin because every time I have an issue it is either blamed on an account or I need to "create a new profile". I have lost years' worth of data due to the constant need to redo my profile. I am not renewing this time around no matter what. I will go back to doing it the old-fashioned way with a pen and paper before Quicken gets another dime of my money.7 -
same problem here too im on mac, just says updating transactions1

Same problem4

Im experiencing the same issue. After some experimentation, I think the issue is related to "Express Web Connect" used to download some accounts. Other accounts which use direct connect work fine.3

Adding to the growing list of customers already reporting issue with Quicken freezing up after launching Accounts Update.
Employed Windows END TASK0 -
:| Same here0

:) Me too - same thing.0

I have same issue. Investment account complete normally. My two credit card accounts and two bank accounts just spin with "Updating Account...". I have to go to Task Manager and end the task.2
-
The update screen for all the accounts just freezes at the start. Other internet is working fine. Have restarted several times, no other tasks active. Anyone else?0

Add my name to the growing list of users unable to run One Step Update. Happens to credit card accounts as well as to brokerages/banks. In addition, Credit Score for the last week or so is not working.4

Updates are not working, only AMX, nothing else.1

It fails after about an hour showing each bank CC-501 error on the quicken server.I'm not a quicken employee, just trying to be a helpful pup!0

Starting this morning Quicken One Step Update (OSU) is failing to download transactions for Institutions/Accounts using the Web Connect connection methods. Institutions/Accounts using Direct Connect connection methods will update transactions. The OSU process may eventually fail with error CC-501. I had to use Windows Task Manager to "End Task" because OSU will not complete until all the Instructions/Accounts using the Web Connect methods fail with an error.2

Having the same problem. One step update progress screen shows updating accounts but freezes and process does not complete. I have to go to task manager and close Quicken. Where is Quicken's announcement acknowledging this issue??1
-
Same problem. There are multiple threads on this. Where are you Quicken reps?2
-
SAME ISSUE. Quicken reps - PLEASE RESPOND.4
-
Same problems. So instead of trying to "fix" it from my end the problem has to be Quicken's problem. So I guess all that any of us can di is wit on them to come to work and fix their darn problems.0
