1/2/23 - OSU Problems & CC-501 Errors (QWIN)

Same issue for me. some accounts updated, others show Updating Account... and never complete.0
-
Same issue here all day and wondering if I have a download of an older version to install. I can't even re-add an existing account back to Quicken (Citibank CC) as it just times out like everything else. I've been using Quicken forever, and I am highly disappointed they let this update out that seemed to kill a major piece of functionality for a lot of their user base.0

My two "Express Web connect" accounts (Etrade Bank and Credit Union) failed, and my one "Express Web Connect +" Chase account failed. I did have a successful Direct Connect update of AMEX, Citi, Etrade and Fidelity accounts (I guess). It finished, but no transactions came down.

I found an installer from September 2022 and installing it, will post an update on if this gets me back to status quo, or working again.0
-
One step update freezes.
It updates some of the bank accounts and then freezes.
This also happened back in September 2022 (thread was closed with no fix or explanation).
One of the accounts (banks) that was still waiting to update was Chase - same as in the 9/22 thread.0 -
Same thing is happening to me.1

Nope, didn't work. somewhere out there, there's a pooch hurting pretty bad from this mistake.
Maybe we'll all get free 1 year subscriptions. :)0 -
Same problem. For me just started today (Monday 1/2). Accounts using Direct Connect update fine. Ones that use Express Web Connect hang.0

Looks like this is a problem that is happening throughout the Quicken Community.
See this link for latest updates (they are working on it with no ETA):

Same issue. 2+ days down0

Just curious, does anyone from Quicken monitor these chats? Surely they are aware of this issue and it would probably be a good thing to be proactive in communication on this issue due to it impacting so many of their customer base.... Just sayin......1

Since Quicken has gone to the new Bank Connect, EWC+. I've had nothing but problems with Quicken. If there is a better working accounting software package out there that is for personal finance, please let me know. This coming from someone who has worked with Quicken, Intuit software for almost 30 years. When Intuit owned Quicken if it was broken, it was fixed in a day, not 4 days now. Might be time to move on.2

Quicken One-Step Update desperately needs a cancel button, so we can safely shut down the program. Either that or it should time-out in a reasonable amount of time. Like 1 minute.1

I have the same issue with several cc accounts as well. I checked. I can get to them via the www, but not via Quicken. Conclusion is that Quicken is at fault. This will interfere with tax season; I just hope we do not get any messages from Jasmine about how they are working on it but have no idea when it might be resolved. That message seems to be a sign of chronic, if not terminal illness with Quicken.0

I agree. Quicken One-Step Update desperately needs a cancel button, so we can safely shut down the program.0 -
You got that wrong, Web Connect accounts are working fine, it is Express Web Connect and Express Web Connect+ accounts that are having the issue. We mustn't be spreading false information.

CC-501 began January 1st. Connects with AMEX. Fails to connect with Chase Bank, Key Bank, Schwab bank. Also, starting January 1st, tax planner data is all messed up and there is no 2023 tab. Nice going Quicken! Your subscription support is not up to speed. Tell me why again, do I have to pay for a subscription, rather than the older stand alone product which actually worked well for many years?0
-
Seems all Quicken users are just stranded on the tarmac with no one actually taking responsibility and no word on how long to expect resolution. Seems maybe the "A" team is working from home and nobody there was ready for 2023. Frankly I'm disgusted. Most of your so called updates are mere fixes to problems your team has created.0

Failures began in the early morning of January 2, 2023.
Successes (3): "Direct Connect" (2 investment institutions) and "Express Web Connect" (1 gasoline company credit card).
Failures [CC-501 (Quicken for Windows)] (4): "Express Web Connect. Notice: Improve connection" (3 credit card institutions and 1 credit union.).

Getting the same CC-501 errors for second day for Bank of America, Capital One and Citibank accounts. American Express is working fine. Wondering if they are all doing maintenance updates with the long holiday break....0
