1/2/23 - OSU Problems & CC-501 Errors (QWIN)

Fascinating. I was coming to look for help because I am transitioning to a new computer. From 5 year old Windows 10 to new Windows 11. I was able to update on old computer a bit ago, but the new one does exactly what everyone else is describing.0

Yep. Same issue. Have to force quicken to close to stop the update. This has been an intermittent issue for weeks and Quicken is aware of. Now, I can't complete a OSU at all. Hope this doesn't drag out like the Fidelity update problem has. I am struggling with quitting quicken after 36 years. Problem is, I have about 1700 transactions annually I don't really want to enter manually. I have a month to decide before renewal.0
-
Me too. Tried on different computers. CTRL,ALT,DEL is the only wait out.0
-
add me the same here category - hangs and have to use task manager to close program. won't work with trying only one account. the only thing that would update is fidelity. Chase, B of A, Synchrony, paypal barclays all hang up - agree that there should be an 'abort' osu button1
-
Same here. Update window just spins. There are many threads reporting this but nothing from Quicken.0
-
Same here, I have tried all of the "Canned" fixes. Tried each account individually. It simply does not work. Sad.0
-
Does anyone know how to get Quicken's management attention? Clearly, this is related to Web Connect. Other account which use Direct Connect seem to work fine. The market opens tomorrow morning. We will need access.1
-
Same issue here. OSU has been taking longer and longer since quicken has been attempting to "improve their connections". Today It updates 3 accounts and then totally freezes the OSU process. Please fix this with a SENSE OF URGENCY!0
-
Maybe someone forgot to program either the app or the Quicken Cloud accounts to 2023 and beyond0
-
Same issue here. Any news from Quicken?0
-
Another one to the list. I guess if they know it is broken...0
-
So, it looks like everybody is having this issue today. Here is my version:
Worked yesterday, 1/1/23, without issues
One Step Update will not complete today. Just runs and runs no error messages, never stops. I tried twice in between restarts, same result. In each attempt, I gave up after 35 minutes or so.
Tried running a few individual account updates (single register vs. One Step), and consistently get error message:
"CC501 Unable to update these accounts because on an error on Quicken Server."
Based on what I see here, sounds like a Quicken issue.
Quicken Premier (Windows)
Version R45.21
Build 27.1.45.211 -
If you let it run about an hour, eventually it comes back with each bank cc-501. Another post has 115 "me too" responses.
I dont know if quicken knows about it yet, there's nothing at 10:12am ET posted in https://community.quicken.com/categories/alertsI'm not a quicken employee, just trying to be a helpful pup!0 -
SUre wish I had seen these posts before reverting to older data base which did not help at all. Why isn't quicken at least acknowledging this issue??0
-
following - same problem0
-
Same issue and agree with recent posts. The lack of responsiveness by support is unbelievable and frankly unacceptable. It is clearly a major issue for many Quicken users and appears no one is working to resolve.0
-
Same problem here. Update just spins and hangs up.0
-
Same here, 4 accounts update and the other 9 just say "updating account" forever.1
-
Same problem as everyone else.0
-
Is anybody else having problems using One step update today, all mine is doing is spinning and never finishes, I had to end task in task manager, I had this problem since Midnight, it worked fine yesterday. Just wondering anybody else is having issues0
-
Same issue, just spinning. Tried several times, same result.0
-
Not working for me this morning.2
-
I'm having same problem but it seems to be only with "Express web connect" accounts. My Direct Connects still work. As an example my Citi Card is direct connect but my wife's citi card is EWC. It only hangs when I attempt to update her's or any other EWC connected account.0
-
Interesting that I get no error code - only "Update in Progress"0
-
Yes - Exact Same issue. It just spins and spins without finishing.2
-
I'm thinking it is an internal issue at quicken not anything we can fix0
-
Me too! Any ideas as to what’s going on?2
-
One step update isn't working this morning. It is hanging indefinitely on my Citibank credit card account and BJ's Warehouse credit card account.
More important: for the last several months the time necessary for updating accounts via OSU has been increasing steadily. So has the individual account update failure rates. Quicken Management needs to look at how OSU is supported organizationally. Its getting worse not better and needs attention. Maybe more infrastructure, more/better staff for support of current code or entire rewrite of OSU, or better partner agreements for more reliable data access. I've been in SW for a long time, you need to change something.
Thank you.0 -
Add me to the list. I noticed other discussions about this, so this is a major problem. The program has really declined in reliability this year.2
-
Same here. And for the past 3 weeks it has been extremely slow, taking around 5 minutes to download. Not a problem with my internet speed as I've checked it and it's fine.2
