Is Wells Fargo Bank using Express Web Connection?

    Wells Fargo Bank currently offers Express Web Connect, Direct Connect, and Web Connect (.QFX).

    My connection to Wells Fargo only downloads credit card, not bank account transactions.There is an icon that says I have a task to perform, but no idea what it is.

    It has been over 3 months and Quicken cannot connect to Wells Fargo for checking or credit card. Error message OL-297-A appears. Quicken evidently knows about the problem but has not fixed it.

    Rather than starting yet another new thread on problems, Wells has several other issues all of which I have reported before.
    Today the Online Bill popped upas expected and properly on time (amazing!!) BUT, shows due date today and should be the 28th. Broken.
    No pdfs in well over a year.
    Duplicate transactions come in and cannot be matched or deleted (they then delete the payments from the checking account) EVERY month as the CC statement closes. I have to make manual adjustments.

    PLEASE FIX WELLS FARGO!!!

    Wells Fargo still does not work. Though I have used Quicken for more than 10 years, this problem renders quicken useless to me. It has been more than 3 months now. Good bye!

    If Quicken is unable to electronically connect to my Wells Fargo Checking and Savings account - why would I be using Quicken? This issue has been going on for some time - Would someone from Quicken, please provide us with an update as to when this will be corrected?

    Wells Fargo Connection fails after latest MAC Version upgrade. Nothing resolves the connection issue.

    this is the Windows side... I'll look to see if there is a QMac forum entry for Wells Fargo issues.

    It is now over 4 months that Wells Fargo downloads cannot be performed. Is Quicken even looking at this?? I want to prepare my taxes and this problem makes the task almost impossible

    @freedoc - what version of WINDOWS are you using. Wells does not support Windows7 or Windows8.

    I got mine to work by reauthorizing the account, but it seems to lose the connection every so often. Reauthorizing it each time it stops working seems to cure the problem for me.

    I have been patiently waiting for the problem with downloading Wells Fargo account transactional data to be addressed.
    In the over 20 years I have been using quicken the various download problems over the last many months e.g., Bank of America, E*TRADE and worst Wells Fargo is the worst experience I have ever encountered with Quicken support - with no end in sight. Does anyone in the programming, support or management groups have any idea what is going on? The ability to update all my accounts every morning is the most critical defense I have of protecting my financial accounts from fraudulent charges and being hacked. Let's get a SWAT team on the numerous bank communications problems, support your customer base and bring the expected quality back to the Quicken product.

    Chez -

    1. have you talked to QUicken Support?
    2. are you on WINDOWS 10 or 11? Wells does not support WIn7 or Win8. (Quicken does not support WIn7)
    3. You are better protected against fraud by a variety of federal laws and the tools available on most online banking programs than checking your accounts each morning. Federal law protects against unauthorized use of your credit cards and banking accounts.
    4. Further, understand that while I agree that there are issues with downloading via Quicken, it is dependent on the financial institution and the aggregator (Intuit) to maintain the integrity of their systems. In today's environment, QUicken is not the driver of a lot of this as it is dependent on decisions made by the FIs and the aggregator.

    I'll throw my $0.02 into this thread. Quicken stopped downloading my Wells Fargo transactions (3 credit cards & 1 checking). For some reason it doesn't get any transactions in March 2023 except a couple of payments to credit cards, no spending.
