Just loaded the new software pushed today, R46.12 Build 27.1.46.12:
Release notes say that is "fixed One Step Update issues that resulted in slowing, freezes and crashes." Still freezing for me for all accounts that are express web connect. Still requires a manual crashing of the app to move forward.

We are sorry about these ongoing issues with online banking services. Thank you for looking to the Quicken Community for assistance. If you haven't already, I suggest you try signing out of your data file completely and then signing back in to refresh the registration token for your Online Connected Services. However, I do recommend that you first save a backup file prior to performing these steps.
- Navigate to Edit
- Preferences...
- Quicken ID & Cloud accounts
- Click Sign in as a different user (or it might say Sign in using a different Quicken ID)
- Follow the prompts to Sign Out
- Sign back in using your Quicken ID (email) and password
Thank you,

This is the same issue I have had and reported multiple times. Spent 3-hours on phone w/ Quicken Support; to no avail. Open earlier backup data files, logged in as a 'different user' (as instruced), reloaded earlier versions of Quickens (as instructed), despite all the efforts the problem remains. This limits Quicken's value considerably and risks corruption of many years of historical data (each time you open a previous data file, it gets affected by the 'science project' solutions they instruct me to do. I would have thought Quickens would have tested before releasing to assure this would not happen. This affects banking and investing institution transaction downloads and updating quotes. This has been on-going nighmare for more than a month.0

Same problem here. I seldom used the earlier version of quicken, but yesterday downloaded and installed Quicken Deluxe for windows 10, version R47.15 build 27.1.47.15, and began to load accounts, which I had not done previously. Using the one-step update invariably hangs/freezes, requiring task manager to close the program. When loading the accounts initially, one by one, there were no problems connecting to the institutions and downloading data. Only when using one-step update did this happen.
As to recommeded fixes: i did the fresh install yesterday. When validating the file, numerous errors were noted and corrected, but this had no impact upon the update problem. The super-validation revealed no errors.
I realize there may be nothing new to say about this, but I do hope Quicken will work on this. It is a very serious issue that has been observed for several months, at least, and it will certainly alienate subscribers who can get most of the other Quicken functionality elsewhere.0 -
I didn't have this problem until I had to update my connections for a charge card and a bank to use Express Web Connect. I followed the instructions here to Sign in a as different user to no avail. I was using Build 27.1.47.11 and upgraded to 27.1.47.15 but same results. One step update gets as far as "Processing data..." and then hangs.0
