Bank Account not updating
edited March 17 in Download, Add/Update Accounts (Windows)
An HSA Bank account is not updating, although Quicken said it was updated (as 'Complete').
What do I do next?

Thank you for reaching out to the Quicken Community, though I do apologize that you are experiencing this issue.
Before I can further assist you, I require some more information. Which financial institution are you experiencing this with? What is your connection method with said financial institution? You can see the connection method by navigating to Tools > Account List. Do you receive any error codes or messages when downloading transactions? What exactly occurs?
I look forward to your response.-Quicken Jasmine0
It is trying to download by Express Web Connect to 'HSA Bank'. I am not getting any error codes or messages. It looks like every other download, but I know that it hasn't downloaded anything since January 10th of this year.0
Thank you for providing more information.
First, I suggest creating a test file and adding the HSA Bank account(s) to see if it produces the same issue with transactions not downloading. It is recommended to save a backup before proceeding with troubleshooting steps in the event that you would like to return to your original starting position. Below are instructions on how to create a test file:
- Choose File menu > New Quicken File.
- Select New Quicken File.
- Click OK.
- In the File name field, enter the name of the new file, then click Save. Use a name like "Test File" to tell it apart from your main file.
Don't use any of these characters: * ? < > | " : \ / (asterisk, question mark, left and right-angle bracket, pipe, straight quotation marks, colon, BACKSLASH, FORWARD SLASH). Also, don't add the .qdf extension; Quicken does that for you.
- Sign in with your Quicken ID. If you are prompted to create a Quicken ID but already have one, click Sign In under the Create Account prompt.
- Select to not use Mobile.
- Click Add Account to start adding accounts to the new file.
After adding accounts, see if you are experiencing the same problems in this test file.
Please let me know how this goes, I look forward to hearing your response.
So, apparently HSA Bank no longer allows Quicken uploads. I tried to Import File but the downloaded csv file won't allow me to change it to a QFX file? Frankly, I'm now beyond my computer skill level!
(Thank you for your feedback, btw!)0
Thanks for reaching back out.
Have you attempted adding the HSA Bank accounts in the test file using the instructions in my previous response?
