Why doesn't Quicken remember my selection for Selected Row Style [Shaded]?

This option appears beneath "Global Preferences (All registers)". But when I select Shaded, it doesn't appear in all registers. And if I exit a register and then re-enter, my selection isn't remembered, it reverts to outlined. I have to select Shaded again. Same thing happens after reconciling an account. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

In Edit / Preferences / Setup does "Use new subscriber settings ..." have a checkmark? It probably shouldn't.

This setting doesn't affect mine, in my testing of it.

New subscriber setting is UN-checked. Problem persists.

Having the same issue -- I don't want the new non-shaded view because it makes it harder, not easier to see the selected row. Not only is this a ridiculous feature to be spending ANY time on given all the other things they should be trying to fix, but I wonder if the dev team actually tests any of their code before pushing it out to the world.

Same problem with select shaded. New subscriber setting is unchecked.

If you haven't done so already, I'd say it's time to call Quicken Support on the phone during posted hours of operation and request help.  Let them do a screen share session with you to review the situation on your computer, to determine the nature of the problem and to figure out how to fix it.

Thanks, but I'll pass on allowing anyone access to my computer. Given the number of comments here and on Reddit, I'm not alone in experiencing this. Surely there's a better way to fix this than asking a user to cede control of their computer to Quicken.

Quicken support doesn't have the ability to control your computer.  They can "screenshare", but that is about it.

Still a big nope. A "screenshare" of Quicken still exposes my personal information to a stranger. Privacy is the biggest reason I still use desktop software instead of online. Also, screensharing Quicken will do nothing to solve this problem; I already outlined in my original post the exact steps needed to duplicate the problem.

Wondering if anyone has an update on this issue - still happening on my end even after a couple of updates.
