Search by Memo

Hi,

I'm trying to search transactions by comments I've entered in the "memo" field. In my case I'm looking for the text string "TFSA" (Canadian Tax Free Savings Account).

I've checked to ensure the term is in the memo field (each year I enter "20xx TFSA Contribution", but the search does not pull any of the transactions. I'm looking to generate a report showing my annual contributions.

The accounts are investment type accounts that should return the result and not banking accounts.

We are sorry about this issue with the search feature. Thank you for letting us know about this here on the Quicken Community.

Are you currently noticing this exclusively with the TFSA? Also, which search bar are you using? The one just above the register, itself, or the one in the far upper-right corner? Lastly, is this account being operated manually?

In my US version R 47.15, an investment account register has a magnifying glass followed by the word "Find" in the upper right hand corner of the register. Using that, a regular Find dialog pops up which can be used to "Find All" transactions in this register by keyword.

However, I cannot do anything with the results of the Find. Contrary to helpful text in the dialog, transactions cannot be selected to perform any Edit Transaction function. All I can do is click on the Date of one of the found transactions to go to the transaction in the register.

That does look like a bug to me ...
