View Budget Notes by hovering over red indicator in planning tab>budget views

Viewing budget notes currently requires clicking the red note indicator and choosing  the option to Edit Notes.  Budget notes would be more useful if you could instead see them by simply hovering over the red budget notes indicator.

The actual problem is that the hotspot (to display the saved note in a hover in the budget cell) is impossibly small to hit.  I guess, in essence, you could say that it isn't effectively implemented.   This was pointed out a few times earlier, including during "pre-production"....Feedback was ignored / never acknowledged.  I hope they can get it right, as it is a very useful feature.  Another broken window that could have been addressed early in the development.

Thanks for the feedback as I finally got it to work once. So I guess my idea essentially becomes to widen the hover target area 😉

Thanks for pointing out that feature, even with obnoxiously small hot spot. I asked for that feature for many, many years. But never noticed it was programmed. I always forget about the functions on the Budget categories row, as I use Annual- Detailed view mostly.
