We are sorry about this problem with missing Register entries. Thank you for looking to the Quicken Community for assistance.
Can you tell us a little more about what's happening, so that we can be of further assistance? What financial institution - if any - is associated with the account in which the transaction is entered? When did this issue begin? Do you mean to say that the original paycheck entry has disappeared, but other recurring transactions remain?
We look forward to your responses, and hope to provide further assistance, if necessary.
Thank you,
Quicken Jared0 -
Since Joanne didn't respond to your questions, I will as I'm having, I assume, the same problem. The reconciled balances on several of my accounts changed and I've been trying to figure out the root of the problem. So far, I've only found two "disappeared" transactions. I'd transferred money from my business checking to my personal checking account (one in March and one in April of 2022). Both accounts had long ago been reconciled so can't fathom why they would be gone.
Those were the only problems in the business account but I'm still several thousand off in the other account and it's not a round number so it's a painstaking process. Needless to say, I'm extremely frustrated. My last update was on 1/1/23 so, yes, I will be backing up every time from now on.
I've been using Quicken since they bought out Managing your Money back in the 90's and have never had any major issues so dealing with this and reading all the other issues people are having is causing a lot of concern.0 -
Hello @[email protected] ,
We are sorry about this problem with online banking services. Thank you for mentioning this here on the Quicken Community.
Are these accounts being reconciled to a paper statement? Are all of these several accounts - in the event that they are being reconciled to online balances - associated with a particular financial institution? If so, which one?
I look forward to your answers.
Thank you,
Quicken Jared

Hi Jared, the two accounts are with US Bank. I do reconcile with paper statements and stopped automatic download a few years ago. Also, since I entered my first post, I've now had to do back to 2018 and found a missing automatic paycheck as well as a transfer to our saving account. Furthermore, since I've been working on the issue, the amount the account is now has increased from $3077 to over $12,000. I have definitely learned my lesson about always backing up after each use. I back up to an external hard drive and the regular file is on my computer hard drive.0

Hello @[email protected],
Thank you for answering my earlier questions about the situation.
I am sorry to hear that the discrepancies seem to be growing. Have you already tried restoring from a recently saved backup by navigating to File > Restore a Backup File… in the upper menu at the top of the screen? Are any backups available? If this doesn't appear to resolve the issue, or if no backups have been saved recently, I have some additional recommendations that may be of assistance.
I look forward to your response.
Thank you,
Quicken Jared

Same thing here. All of my mortgage splits for the past two years in my checking account have disappeared and now shows "Uncategorized" or shows only the first transaction of the missing split. My mortgage balance is completely off since most of the principal transactions have disappeared. This occurred after the Jan 6 update. I am afraid to spend all the time to re-enter these, because I read another OP state their transactions re-disappeared after sync. Note: I do not sync my mortgage account itself, just the checking account.0
