Hello @radarchief75 ,
We are sorry about this issue with online banking services and reauthorizing accounts. Thank you for letting us know about this here on the Quicken Community.
Are you noticing that the option to link the proper accounts is unavailable as you are proceeding through the Add Account window and trying to reauthorize accounts? If so, note that there is currently an Open Alert regarding problems of this nature and American Express accounts. You can follow the link here for additional information, and any future updates. Currently, there is no ETA regarding a resolution.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and appreciate your patience.
Thank you,
Quicken Jared

The problem is when I get to the "activate one step update screen" and it doesn't allow me to link my AMEX card to an existing account, it wants to create a brand new account. I tried that once and the data that downloaded did not match what was in the account (since the date range was truncated), so I had to restore from backup.0

Hello @radarchief75,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community and telling us about your issue as well as providing a screenshot, though I apologize that you are experiencing this.
When you click on the dropdown arrow directly next to “Add to Quicken”, does it offer the option to change to “Link to existing” at all?
Thank you!

No, like I put in my previous comment, the only option is to create a new account. When I do that option, the account information is incorrect (truncated transactions and incorrect balance). When will this be fixed, I see that tons of other people are having the same problems. I used "report a problem" but haven't heard anything using that avenue.0

Thank you for following up with additional information.
I suggest that you try deactivating the account first, then go through the authorization process (Tools > Add Account) and see if it will allow you to choose the “link to existing” after having done the account deactivation. If needed, please refer to this support article for deactivation instructions.
Thank you!

I've tried both the (1) reauthorization process (2) deactivating/reactivating and (2) add accounts. None of those processes allows me to link to the existing credit card account. The only option is to add a new account, of which the transaction and balance are incorrect (plus I lose most of my existing history)0

Thank you for following up.
In that case, we would advise that you contact Quicken Support directly for further assistance and possible escalation if they see fit.
We apologize for any inconvenience! Thank you.

As evident by these forums, this is a widespread issue. So I've sent my logs via "help' section...when is quicken going to consider rolling back the software updates?
I've been a quicken user for over 20 years and have weather more issues in the last 12 months then the previous 12 years. Please plan on discounting my next subscription.0 -
when will this issue be addressed and fixed. I log on everyday with hopes that it gets fixed. Downloaded the update this morning and still does not allow me to link to current account AMEX credit card.0
