USAA Catch 22

When updating, I get a Quicken message to re-authorize my USAA account. After following the Quicken prompts to re-enter my username and password, another message warns that Quicken servers cannot re-authorize and that I should not contact USAA. Is anyone else seeing this? I only have Chase (fails), my bank (both fail), and now USAA is failing. Are there any institutions that reliably work with Quicken?

Hello @Dennis Mc ,
We are sorry about this problem with online banking services. Thank you for talking with us about this here on the Quicken Community.
Is there any way you could provide screenshots the second error message you're seeing about who to contact - with personal information redacted as necessary? You can follow the steps explained in this FAQ in order to do this. Also note that you may drag and drop your images into your comment in order to submit images, as well.
I hope to hear back from you about this, if you have the chance to check back in with us about this.
Thank you,
Quicken Jared

I tried again today and was taken to the USAA site, where I was able to validate the session. The problem with USAA has fixed itself. Thanks.0

I already have my connection with USAA, but the damn program is asking for it AGAIN! I try to re-authorize and the thing just SITS THERE. I have no time to wait around 20 minutes for chatting. Regret my luck was not as good as Dennis' luck.0

I am having a similar issue. I cannot get past the reauthorization loop I'm in with my USAA accounts. I hope it doesn't take a year to fix the problem like the duplicate credit card transactions problem USAA ignored for a year. I cancelled my credit card with them, they ignored a customer of over 30 years.0

Having this same issue as well. I have reauthorized my connections at least five times in the past 48 hours. Just had to do it twice this morning when trying to download transactions. Any idea when this problem will be resolved?0

Quicken Home & Business R47.11: I did NOT do the Quicken Update yet, but I did follow prompts to reauthorize USAA. It was successful and acknowledged by USAA.
Two transactions downloaded for Savings, but zero from Checking. I expected 33. The checking ONLINE Balance is now ZERO. Can one import .csv from banks into Quicken? Direct connect downloads have been miserable and troubleshooting worse.0 -

Quicken premier R47.15. I followed the reauthorization prompts. After logging into USAA, Quicken display a screen showing success. I downloaded USAA transactions through One Step update. But that update skipped another account. I did another One Step update and it worked for USAA and my other accounts.0

Quicken had a better message today than yesterday. Take a look here, https://www.quicken.com/support/why-am-i-receiving-message-about-my-usaa-accounts0

I have done all the reauthorizing/relinking of accounts and each time I log in I am asked to do it all over again. This is so maddening.0

I was able to reconnect but after getting authorization my Quicken is completely messed up with some transactions going to the wrong accounts and some transactions which should be debits showing up as credits. Is anyone else seeing this?0

Since my original problem on March 2, I've had no issues with USAA. Today, for the first time in eight months, all transactions for one USAA account, one Chase CC, and my one bank DL'd downloaded on the first attempt.0

My Usaa reauthorization worked but removed catagories for checks for last 13 years. WTF is going on at Quicken wow0

I've had similar problems. This whole reauthorization is a disaster. I'm not sure who dropped the ball? Even if USAA made it difficult for Quicken to get it right, you would think there would be some testing before rolling out a process that has totally messed up many of my accounts, including non-USAA accounts. I think it's time to dump Quicken, but I'm unaware of any other financial accounting products that handle banking and investment accounts. Any suggestions for software products that are not as problematic as Quicken?1
