QuickFill Rule Support for Pattern Matching, Begins With or Contains (Q Mac)

Some transactions are downloaded with the company name but may contain a store number, or date, or transaction identifier. For example the Sprouts market shows as:

SPROUTES FARME 05/01 # MOBILE PURCHASE SPROUTES FARMERS DALLAS TX
SPROUTES FARME 04/29 # PURCHASE SPROUTES FARMERS DALLAS TX

It is currently not possible to set up a QuickFill rule for the above because each transaction is unique so they must be categorized manually in the register. It would be nice if a QuickFill rule would support partial matching, so for the above one could define the rule as, "Starts with SPROUTES FARM" or rule that "Contains SPROUTES FARM".

@VinceH Actually, this is possible today without any new functionality. The key that you're missing is that you need a Renaming Rule as well as a QuickFill rule. With a Renaming Rule, you tell Quicken to renaming any Payee which contains "Sproutes Farm" to be "Sproutes Farm". Then create a QuickFill rule to assign the category you want for this Payee. Done! 😀
