Allow Vault Password on Quicken Startup

I like the feature to require a password upon opening a Quicken file, but I would like to be able to optionally use the vault password for that purpose, and also eliminate the need for reentering the vault password to download transactions for that session.

    They tried that several years ago and it failed miserably and was abandoned.

    I doubt that it will be considered.

    There is nothing to keep you from using the same password for both.

    Given that the only use the Password Vault for Direct Connect accounts, and they are pushing to get the financial institutions to Express Web Connect +, I doubt they would even consider this especially since as @splasher that last attempt at it failed.
