Please make grouping consistent in sidebar
In the sidebar, the main "groups" are:
- Banking
- Business
- Investing
- Property & Debt
- Hidden Accounts
- Separate Accounts
Under Banking, there are sub-groups:
- Cash
- Savings
- Credit Card
Under Business, there are no sub-groups (this seems like a major oversight).
However… all accounts are either business or personal (and the name of the app itself is Quicken Classic Business and Personal), so it makes more sense that "Business" and "Personal" should be the two main groups, and that they have identical sub-groups.
So I would love it if the headings look something like this:
- Personal (instead of "Banking")
- Cash
- Savings
- Credit Card
- Investing
- Brokerage
- Retirement
- Property & Debt
- Hidden accounts
- Separate
- Business
- Cash
- Savings
- Credit Card
- Investing
- Brokerage
- Retirement
- Property & Debt
- Hidden Accounts
- Separate
At the least, please give us sub-groups for the Business heading.
Similar groupings should also apply to the Windows app (I use both).

Hello @quick_luvr,
Thank you for taking the time to reach out to the Community with your request.
I went ahead and changed your post to an Idea so other users who have the same or a similar request can vote on your idea by clicking the up arrow (see below).Ideas are also reviewed by our Development and Product teams in order to improve Quicken and implement new features requested by customers.
Thanks!

Better yet, introduce a feature where the Quicken user could completely customize the names, grouping and placement of the accounts on the account bar.

@Joe_Sykes What you're asking for is a far bigger project than what's being asked for here, which is sub-groups under the Business heading in the sidebar. In fact, custom arrangement of the sidebar has been requested by users many times, and the developers have ended up saying they aren't going to do it because of of extreme complexity in the code to accomplish such a change. Here is the most recent Idea request for custom sidebars, which is marked as "Under Consideration":
But in the yellow box for voting, the developers have added a note which says: "Development team is considering allowing re-ordering accounts within their subgroup only; groups and subgroups cannot be re-ordered." While such a change would be a small step int he right direction, it's something anyone can do today simply by using number prefixes in front of their account names (e.g. 1-XYZ Visa, 2-ABC Amex, etc.). What we can't do is move any accounts out of their assigned group/subgroup, and the message from the developers is that it's going to stay that way.
That said, the original request here for sub-groups under the business heading doesn't seem like it would break the existing organization in Quicken Mac, so hopefully that's something the developers could build into the program, if enough users vote for this Idea (in the yellow box at the top of the page).

I came here to request the same. Yes we need sub-groups for the Business heading. Voting it up!
