Restoring from a backup file destroys Express Connect and it isn't always consistent as to what is destroyed for accounts (as I have had to switch computers twice in a month). After a restoration is done from a backup file if Quicken sees that you have online connected accounts for transaction sync, go account by account to automatically fix the accounts as some institutions (Spire/Blaze Credit Union do not show enough of the account number to let us know which account to "link to existing" so we have to destroy our quicken file and start fresh if we have multiple checking/savings accounts or go manual download….)

    Hello @Char178,

To assist with this, could you please provide more information? When did you first notice this issue? How often does it happen (for instance, on every restored backup, some restored backups, just the most recent one, etc.)? When the connection is destroyed, do you receive any error messages or codes? If not, what happens?

The issue with the financial institution not providing enough of the account number for you to differentiate accounts when reconnecting in Quicken is something Quicken can't control. Does the financial institution give you the ability to customize the account names? If they do, that may be the simplest fix to that issue.

I look forward to your reply!
