"Bond Type" Data Field Unusable

Quicken has a very helpful data field called "bond type" ie corporate bond, trasury bond etc. However, this field is not usable either on the GUI or in customized reports according to quicken support

Having the ability to access this field would be very beenficial for more granular portfolio analysis

I have read your post 3 times now and still don't understand it. What do you mean "not usable"? I can set the field for individual bonds. It sounds like you want it elsewhere. Please be more specific.

I think the OP holds several types of bonds and would like a way to display the bond type in a report or portfolio view and filter and subtotal by bond type. It unclear why Quicken lets you specify a bond type in the Security Details but apparently does not use or display the information anywhere.

Setting Investing Goals corresponding to the various bond types might be a workaround for this.
