Something useful and important!
I've been using Quicken since its inception for DOS 6.1 around 1982!
I've seen changes, but one real good idea stands out… for the customer and for sales of the Quicken product! Quicken, I believe was a baby version of Quick Books and not intuit and Quicken are competing companies. So the idea is to them one better and in doing so help the customer and the sales.
If the QDF stores attachment (primarily receipts and these are indexed to the transaction and since they are supplied to the smartphone app and well as being indexed to each transaction, then….
why can't they be printed out, say as a 3" pic on a report or register print out? Whether printed out on paper or a pdf to save paper.
The Why? Because sorting a box of receipts is ridiculous if they are stored in the program and mated with the transaction. When dupes exist by error or supplied in error by the bank, then a printout would be a great way to see which have duplicate receipts! Also, do I want the IRS to see every unrelated transaction, heck no. So, if the program can supply an app with a stored indexed attachment to the desktop program and an app, why not to a report or register printout. A little check box next to show split transactions. A real time saver…
