    1) Click the Planning tab to go to the Spending Planner page

    2) Click Edit to adjust the Expected Income to reflect the monthly inflow into your plan (after you edit this amount the label will change to Total Monthly Allocation).

    [Set up your regular income as a paycheck so Quicken can automatically include it here. The Savings Plan prorates your income on a monthly basis (if you're paid biweekly, for example, the Plan averages the difference between months where you receive two vs. three paychecks).
      
    You'll then need to make periodic adjustments to account for bonuses, transfers from savings, months where you expect to place a lot of expenses on credit cards, and other fluctuations in the total monthly resources available to the plan. The adjustments you make in the Savings Plan don't affect the amount you set up in the Manage Paychecks dialog -- they are used solely in the Savings Plan to help monitor your monthly finances.]

    3) Use the Create New Savings Target button below the Savings section to set up your plan. As you enter or change amounts, click Apply (to the right of the field you're editing) to save your edits.
