Error - number of shares after partial sell

This problem has been noted in other discussions but there is still no good solution so I'd like to try again.  I have had this occur repeatedly in following cases:  security has more than one lot and there is a partial sale. Following the sale the number of shares in Security Detail is correct but the Portfolio is not, usually 100 shares less than it should be.  A common workaround is to delete all buy and sell transactions and try again.  This sometimes works, particulary if you rearrange sequence to force the sale of the desired lots.  But this does not always work. Also reindexing the files or rebuilding the portfolio does not fix the discrepancy. Any new ideas?  Seems like a bug to me. Some suggest clicking OK for sells but I only see OK in the Lots window when doing a Sell so I see no way to OK lot by lot choices.
