How do I delete multiple duplicate downloaded transactions?

My bank changed from WaMu to Chase, and now it's downloaded 3 months' worth of transactions (already cleared in my register) and marked status as "New". I don't want to have to delete them one at a time... Help!

I have a similar situation in the fact that I have about 300 transactions that I need DELETED from  "Downloaded Transactions" . There does seem to be a way of just clearing everything out & starting from scratch. I actually contacted Intuit about this about a year ago & they told me I had to handle this "one at a time".  In fact, you cannot delete, just change to ignore.

I've the same problem.  It happened because Quicken does not know those items were downloaded before.  It doesn't know, because it doesn't know the bank name changed.

The only solution I know is to individually delete the duplicate transactions from the list.  From the list, that is.  NOT from the register.

The challenge is knowing for certain that the suspect transactions are indeed duplicates.  Your next reconciliation will allow you to replace any that were accidentally deleted.

Though deleting from the list individually seems a pain, expecially for the other inquirer in this thread w/ 300 such transactions, it will be worth it in the end.

A faster way could be to accept ALL of them as new w/o making any changes, then going through the register and highlighting all the duplicates using the Ctrl key to highlight more than one, and deleting all of 'em at once using the right-mouse button menu.  I'd suggest making a reliable backup first, though, so you can at least see what the correct ending balance should be.

    Hi All,
We've set up this FAQ concerning the conversion from WAMU to Chase--hopefully it will help you set up your accounts properly:

My bank has NOT changed, yet when I did one step update last time, I got three months of transactions I have already downloaded and entered.  Now they're showing up in the downloaded transaction pane as "new."  Why?  And if I go to the trouble of deleting them one by one are they going to show up again next time I do a dowload?  What's going on?
