The only thing that will work with 2007 and an iPad is called a miracle.

there is an iPhone and iPad app called "QIF Entry" that works just fine. it works with drop box. there are several other apps that work also
Have you considered using something like LogMeIn service? They have a version of their free service that runs on iOS to remotely access any file and application on your computer. Check it out.
