Message about corrupt data in the file - followed the "Check for solutions" - but can't open my data
Using Quicken for Mac 2007 Lion compatible version. As I was entering a transaction, a box popped up and said "Quicken has found corrupt data in your file. If you continue to use this file you may experience program instability, further data corruption, and incorrect results. We recommend that you visit Quicken Support to check for possible solutions to this issue. Your other options are to ignore this issue and continue opening the data file, or quit." I selected "Check for Solutions" and followed the website instructions, but the data file didn't open after I removed the "Quotes" document. The website document is "Remove and Rebuild Security Price History in Quicken for Mac 2007 or older." I never use the Quotes and Security area of the application. I only use the register and reports functions.
I am very worried about not being able to open my data file! Any help would be appreciated.

The next step I would try, is assuming you did work with a copy of your file, is go back to the original you can open, and rebuild the indexes:

Note to work with a copy. You might have more than one issue here; bad indices and a corrupt quotes (just because you don't track investments doesn't mean that it can't become corrupted.)
If you didn't create a copy you can open, then you will have to open up one of the backup files.
