Yesterday at 3:30 PST we started sending invites to all of our beta testers inviting them to download the product and to begin running through tasks and answering questions about their experience. Last week we sent the beta out to only a small group of about 50 people. This week is a different story. I can’t divulge the number but lets just say there were so many people downloading the app that it brought down the servers and people were having a hard time getting it. I’m hoping everyone has now been able to download the new Quicken Mac.

I love our beta testers!Looking at the product in these early stages is hard work because you want to start using it but it’s not quite ready and things don’t quite work like you think they should. I really applaud our testers because they are giving up their weekend to actively try the product, push the boundaries, answer surveys and write up feedback in forums for everyone to collectively discuss what works and what doesn't. The feedback has been critical, insightful, passionate and very very helpful. So far the reviews have been very encouraging and supportive of the product's new look which takes it’s cues from the minimalist design of iOS7. The word most customers are using to describe Quicken Mac 2015 is “clean”. Thanks to all of you who are testing the app. I’m reading all of the comments and based on the survey results I have already started writing up the usability tweaks for us to consider in the next couple of weeks before Beta 2.
By the way, Beta 2 is coming in 2 to 3 weeks.
Keep up the great work and happy testing!
P.S. Beta testers, as a reminder please refrain from providing product details of the new Quicken Mac in the replies and comments below in this public forum even if I mention something in the post. Please only post comments on the beta site. Thanks.

I just found this site and submitted a beta tester request.  I too am one of the many who run a Win 7 VM solely for the purpose of running Quicken!  I tried Essentials, without satisfaction.  I have been running Mac and Inuit products for years and am very pleased to see this development.  Very anxious to get the Quicken Mac product.  Thanks Marcus and Intuit for the development and the candor on this blog!

I too just found this site and also submitted a beta tester request. I'm a Mac user. I bought Quicken Essentials and use it for two accounts that are not very complicated nor have that many transactions, but I'm still using Quicken For Mac 2007 for our primary business accounting. Have watched and hoped for an update for years. Excited to see what Quicken 2015 has to offer frustrated Mac users.

Just submitted a request as well.  Long time Quicken Windows user that recently switched to a Mac.  I've been searching and searching for comparable functionality in personal finance software and am so happy to see Quicken has plans to bring the Mac version up to speed.

I am also a long time Quicken user.  I moved to a Mac some years ago.  I am forced to run Windows 7 as a VM under VMWare Fusion in order to run Quicken for Home & Business.  So my hope is that the new Quicken for Mac will support the functionality that your Windows versions do.
