The 2.1.1 update was released on Wednesday, October 8 (five days ago). Because 2.1.1 fixed a major crash bug, the preceding version 2.1 was never released by the App Store. Because we're still in a holiday weekend for many people, it will likely be released in the next couple of days, after Apple has approved it. However, I have no way of telling for sure, and my guess is that Intuit doesn't, either.

In other words, whenever Apple gets around to it.

Next time I will buy it from Intuit web site. Doesn't make any sense to take that long.

Agree.
And, for whatever reason the moderator closed my question on how to convert from app store to retail even though only one person gave some suggestions and no one gave a specific answer.

@brendan, Jacobs gave you a VERY specific answer 8 days ago. Return your product to Apple, and then buy it from Intuit. There's no way to "convert".

Sorry. Not going to hi-jack this thread debating this. Just saying I would have liked to have more input before accepting "it can't be done" without more specifics.

How much more specific than "it can't be done" do you need?

The 2.1.1 update is finally posted on the Mac App Store. I have no idea why it took so long, but anyone who's been waiting for it can now get it via Software Update.
