How do I get Price Quotes to Import in Q2007 for Lion from valid original file?

Error "Quicken has found corrupt data in your files . . ." (Quotes) & Error "Quicken is unable to import Prices.qif because the transaction displayed below is too large".
Just purchased Quicken 2007 for Lion. Tried to open my file. Got this error message.
"Quicken has found corrupt data in your files . . ." when opening existing file and even when trying to create then open a New File.
Did some research and found 2 problems related to this.
From my research and experimentation I found a solution to the second problem of getting this error message when creating a New File. See the solution posted here:
http://getsatisfaction.com/quickencommunity/topics/cant-start-a-new-file-without-corrupt-data-message
To fix the first problem of getting the error message when opening my existing file, I followed the intructions to remore the Quotes file (Q2007 Lion refused to load the prices...all prices are lost and I get this error).

Then I thought, what about importing the Price Quotes from the original file? So I exported the data from the original file in QIF format. When I went to import the data using Q2007 Lion, I got a very long strange error message (see attachment) "Quicken is unable to import Prices.qif because the transaction displayed below is too large". How do I fix this? Afterall, Q2007 original can read the Price Quotes Data just fine. There must be a way to get that data back into my existing file?
NOTE: I checked the error message and I have no transactions for the Apple shares listed, only prices, so the error makes no sense.
BTW, I have multiple back ups of everything, so I can go back to many points in time.
Also, I have made sure that I rebuilt the indexes before trying any of this, so I know that the original file is as good as I can make it, using these instructions:
http://knowledgebase.quicken.com/support/help/backup--restore--file-issues/troubleshooting-data-file-proble...
and I also using Command-Option-L for rebuilding the Portfolio or individual brokerage Registers
P.S. I have data going back 20 years
