Today's Gain/Loss is only adding one account for the "Brokerage" category total.

Click "Brokerage" under "Investments" on the sidebar, then click "Portfolio" in the main window to the day's gain/loss. The amount shown is for only one of the several accounts in that category. If I hide that particular account, the day's gain/loss shows $0.00.

However, if I click on "Investments" for the overall portfolio change, its day gain/loss seems correct, showing the total for all accounts. So does the "Retirement" total.

Note that the percentage shown in the upper right is correct for the displayed gain/loss amount divided by the total it shows for all that account group. But the gain/loss amount it shows is just for the one account, not all of them.

I'm running 2.4.0 and don't know if this is a new problem or if I just never noticed it before. It was obvious today because yesterday's changes were tiny and the overall total showed a small negative change while both of the sub-categories were showing small positive changes.

I haven't verified whether the individual account totals are actually correct. It would really be helpful if we could export that portfolio view to a spreadsheet where the Day Change amount was a different field from the Day Change percentage (same for overall Gain/Loss). I can copy/paste the screen into a spreadsheet, but parsing those fields to separate amount from percentage is truly painful in Excel or Numbers.

UPDATE:  I did take time to spot-check a couple of accounts in that group.  The individual accounts are correct.  For some reason the Brokerage group's Portfolio display is not summing the gain/loss for all accounts in the group, just one of them.  And it's neither the top nor bottom of the list.   Makes no sense how such an error could have cropped up.  And there's no customization for that view, so there's nothing I can obviously do to affect it.

Hello, a few others noticed this problem recently, too;  just after 2.4.0 was released.  Perhaps the bug existed in previous QM2015 versions, but if it did, I didn't notice it.  I created a bug report last week on the issue and I believe the QM team is looking for someone to send them their file so they can investigate the problem further.

UPDATE #2:  This is pretty crazy.   The problem is now different.  Now, all accounts BUT one are now included in the total.   The one that is not included is different than the one which was originally the only one that was included.  I've made no changes to those accounts.  But I did set up online access for a Roth IRA yesterday and didn't notice at first that the default type on the "link" screen was wrong.  So it got changed to a brokerage account and I had to manually change it back to retirement.   It was after that when I noticed the change in this problem's symptoms but I can't be sure that's precisely when it changed.   Geez....Software is not capricious -- there is some serious logic error in the programming here.
