WOW!! NO REPORTS IN QMAC2015! Terrible.

Unless I am missing something, there is not the reporting capability that QMAC2007 had --- virtually no pre-packaged reports and NO "memorized" reports.

This is terrible.

If this is true, I advise possible new users to avoid this piece of software for quite awhile.

It makes the app virtually useless to me.

I fully agree. The software is only as good as its ease to enter data and RETRIEVE data. Go to http://www.quicken.com/mac/compare or http://intuitquicken.zuberance.com/reviewV2/start/92868615

The reports are pretty limited in Quicken 2015. It's been the top area of complaints and requests, and hopefully is already "under the hood" in the development lab getting the first phase of a major re-write.

That said, there are some things you can do that may not at first be apparent. Memorized reports, a la Quicken 2007? Yes, you can customize certain reports with filters, and then save them. They show up in the left sidebar with the base reports. (Annoyingly, you have to rename them after saving, and then they mix in alphabetically with the base reports -- hopefully they'll fix that, too!) There's a lot of data you can get from the Category Summary (very badly misnamed) report. But there are a lot of reports that don't exist and can't be pulled out of Quicken 2015, including income statement (regular and comparison) and balance sheet. I'm waiting for better reports capabilities before I switch my live data from Quicken 2007.

jacobs - Are you still able to download from your banks to get transaction data with Quicken 2007?  I am currently getting an "OL-290" error from all my banks.  Otherwise, I would only be using the QMac2007.

The OL-290 error has been well-documented on this forum -- look for the "pinned answer" on the All Questions tab, or the Announcement on the right side. Intuit is well aware of the issue, and is investigating whether they can come up with a cure for the aging Quicken 2007 code. Hopefully, there will be some information forthcoming from Intuit on this issue within the next few days. (For me personally, I am not affected because I enter my transactions manually, so Quicken 2007 still works fine for me.)

Also, Google "Poodle SSL" for the significance of this internet threat.  QM2007, and older products, use SSL 3.0, newer products don't.

All these answers are good but irrelevant to the OP's issue. Please stay on topic.

Smayer97: the comments in this thread are indeed relevant.  I'm trying to figure out how to manage my finances.  Q2015 is lacking in important features such as reporting. In the meanwhile Q2007 seems to have LOST a critical feature (as evidenced by persistent OL-290 errors). rdrich/OP

Though you are right that because of the OL-290/OL-248 errors, and QM2015 lacking many features, users like are placed between a rock and a hard place. I only commented because your original post did not mention any issue with the OL-290 errors.

I concur. The original question is answered. The new topic should have a new thread.
