Reconciling manually entered data.

My wife and I have IRA and Roth accounts in which I have entered the data manually over the years when receiving my statements. Recently, I recorded the sale of stocks in my IRA account transaction page, but the Portfolio summary still shows the old share totals. How can I resolve this?

I can't be sure w/o more details, but it sounds like you neglected to manually change the share price also (in "window/securities/price history"). Unfortunately, at present, QM2015 does not automatically enter the share price in "price history" (from whence the account values derive) when you enter the share price in "transactions". I have suggested this as a future feature, so - fingers crossed ...!

What you will need to do is manually enter the share price for each security for each month (or other time period) - laborious but necessary.

    Bon chance!

Two responses:  First, when entering a purchase or sale, Quicken calculates the share price from the dollar amount and number of shares.   It does not let me enter the share price manually.  Secondly, there was no "price history" under the column "Windows/Securities".  Therefore, the number of shares in each portfolio does match my recent statement since the sale transactions didn't seem to affect portfolio amounts.

Even though the share price is calculated by Quicken you will still need to go to "Quicken/Windows/Securities"  THEN DOUBLE CLICK on the security whose share price you want to enter/edit.  This brings up another window which gives you the option to enter/edit the security OR enter/edit the share price; click on "Price History" and enter/edit your price information as appropriate.  HOWEVER, be sure to hit "Return" BEFORE you select "Done" on the "Price History" screen in order to record the share price (if you don't hit Return FIRST, the share price will not be recorded).  This cumbersome procedure will hopefully be addressed in a future update.
Hopefully, this will work for you.

    This seems to work.  Thanks
