How to resolve Corrupt Data in file for QMac 2007?

Quicken 2007 for Mac 16.1.4, running under OSX 10.6.8

Q constantly notifies me of Corrupted Data in Current File (10.6MB).

File was recently converted from Q 2006, Q opens dialog box: “Quicken has found Corrupt Data in your file”. I Reindexed the File (Article ID: GEN82514), saved a copy and Reindexed again, Q still notes me of Corrupted Data.

I did a Full Export(QIF), opened a New File, attempted to import Full QIF Export. Q opens a dialog box “Unable to save Category”, New File is still empty (1MB, no Accts, or data) Q still notes me of Corrupted Data. I have tried exporting only Accounts or Categories from the Current (Corrupt Data) File and they still won’t import into the New File.

When I close the New File, and try to reopen it I get a dialog box “Unable to open file”. I have tried opening the New File by opening it from the Package Contents (Article ID: GEN83256) but it still won’t open.

In a Guest User Acct on the Mac I have installed a fresh copy of Q2007 (16.1.4) from a disk image, and attempted to open a New File and Import the Full Export (QIF), but get the same results: Q opens dialog box: “Quicken has found Corrupt Data in your file”

You have tried all of the suggested fixes. It sounds almost as if there is something in the data itself that Quicken is not liking.

Also, if you start getting over a certain number of categories, tags, and accounts, strange problems set in. If you are in the hundreds range of the former, I would investigate that.

Thanks John,  I do have a large Data file (10+MB) that contains 15 years of Data and many Categories, I will try reducing the number of Categories, and reducing the file size.
