Version 2.1.1 was released for non-App Store customers today and should address the Cash Flow crash impacting Lion customers.

2.1.1 has also submitted to the App Store and should appear for App Store customers in the coming days.

Note that 2.1 was never released to App Store customers (we withdrew it due the Lion issue) so all App Store customers should get 2.1.1, which includes the 2.1 features that Quicken Marcus discusses here:

    Jacobs:
"be aware that if you enter a transaction for a security with no ticker, the price of the security you bought/sold will NOT be added to the price history table automatically, as it was in Quicken 2007.

For example, if you have 100 shares of a security with a value of $8 per share, Quicken correctly shows the value as $800. If you now purchase an additional 100 shares of the security and the price is $10 per share, you might expect Quicken to show in the Portfolio view that you have 200 shares with a value of $2,000 -- 200 x the most recent price of $10. But it doesn't: it shows your 200 shares with a value of $1,600 -- 200 x the most recent price in the Price History table of $8 -- and a net loss of $200. You have to manually edit the Price History to add the $10 price on the date of the purchase to have the portfolio view correctly show your value of $2,000 and gain of $200.'

So, if you have a bogus ticker on the security will the purchase price automatically add to the price/history table?

I should have said "if you don't have a valid ticker that Quicken can look up..." rather than "blank". Quicken will look up tickers it can find, and obviously won't if you have a blank ticker or use a bogus ticker symbol it can't look up. The point is that if you are manually entering your transactions, they will not add to the price history table automatically, so you may need to enter a transaction AND add a line to the Price History table. I just wanted to make people aware, particularly if they have done this in previous versions of Quicken, because those versions did enter a manual transaction price as the price of the security as of the transaction date.
